Frequently Asked Questions

No. At Spiro Physical Therapy we are out-of-network. We chose not to contract with insurance companies to ensure that YOU get the best care possible. Here is how:
  1. It allows us to treat each patient one-on-one for the entire session. The clinician's full attention is on your presentation, your goals and your needs.
  2. It allows us to create and execute a plan that will get you better faster - not a plan that is beholden to the parameters created by your insurance company.
  3. It allows us to respect your time. Conventional Physical Therapy has patients going into the clinic 3 days per week - being seen for an hour each session. Typically half of that time is spent doing work that could be done independently and without the help of a skilled therapist. At Spiro Physical Therapy each moment of the session is intentional, meaningful and beneficial. As a result, patients typically only need treatment 1 day per week - saving you time.
  4. It allows the Patient and Clinician to work together as a team to determine when the goals are met. Insurance will typically cut off authorization once the patients are "functional" but have not reached their full potential or their individual goals. It is important to us at Spiro that patients return to the highest level of activity available to them. Without the limitations of insurance, we are able to get you where you would like to be.

No. The sessions do not expire. Within our system you have a great deal of autonomy around how and when you use your sessions. With the guidance of the clinician, a treatment plan will be created to best fit your physical, schedule and financial needs.
